Following acclaimed seasons at the 2011 and 2014 Melbourne Festivals, the Australian National Academy of Music’s one–of–a–kind, purpose built performance space is back.

Created by theatrical innovators Bluebottle, ANAM Quartetthaus is an extraordinary fusion of music, architecture and design, offering a daringly intimate and breathtakingly visceral take on the traditional concert hall. And this year, ANAM Quartetthaus has had a paint job! Beautiful by day, but just wait until you see it at night.

With musicians playing in the round, and only 52 seats in the venue, no audience member is ever more than two metres from the performers, making for an exceptionally unique concert experience.

The program showcases ANAM’s foremost musicians as they present a selection of repertoire from the rich history of the string quartet, featuring Joseph Haydn and more.
