We're extremely proud to be a commissioning partner on The Rabbits, a new family opera featuring Kate Miller-Heidke, which last night picked up four prestigious Helpmann Awards: Best New Australian Work, Best Presentation for Children, Best Costume Design, and Best Original Score.
An Opera Australia and Barking Gecko Theatre Company co-production in association with West Australian Opera, The Rabbits was co-comissioned by Melbourne Festival and Perth International Arts Festival and reviewed by The Guardian as "A triumphant adaptation of a deeply tragic story".
