In their only Melbourne show for 2015, electronic music sensations Flight Facilities join forces with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra to recreate the duo’s five year journey to acclaimed debut album Down To Earth.

Under the stars at Sidney Myer Music Bowl, more than 80 musicians and special guest vocalists, along with a spectacular light installation from French studio CHEVALVERT, will bring together the converging worlds of electronic and orchestral music in a world premiere collaboration of soaring proportions.

Arguably Australia’s most feel–good musical duo, and featured on Triple J’s Hottest 100 for five years in a row, Flight Facilities performed the art of time travel at the 2013 Melbourne Festival with their Decade Mix Series, spanning 40 years and taking fans on a taste tour of their musical influences at the Foxtel Festival Hub over two sold out nights.

Composer Davide Rossi—whose CV includes collaborations with the likes of Goldfrapp, Coldplay and Röyksopp—has rearranged the band’s tracks for a unique outdoor orchestral collaboration guaranteed to be one all killer, no filler performance.
